Dave Parton is forty five. He is EXTREMELY forty five. It’s listed as a hobby and interest on his c.v. He has been performing his brand of invective and bile since November 2011, but has been failing to channel his righteous indignation for several years now.
In a year on the circuit Dave has progressed to opening and closing twenties at baby clubs and universities (they think he their dad), to middle fifteens and proper paid pro nights, such as the Joke Club and Fat Jester’s in Bromely.
This is actually Dave’s return to stand up after six years playing assorted thugs in The Bill and Dream Team, and advertising diabetes drugs and pain medication systems. But he wishes to point out that it wasn’t all glamour.
In hie previous outing Dave appeared on all the major comedy stages in the UK – including the Comedy Store (passing a kidney stone on stage during his debut) and Jongleurs, where he didn’t. He did repeat corporate business for Diagio and Glenlivet. He made several t.v. appearances as a stand up and has written for t.v. and radio sketch shows. Together with his wife and writing partner, has has had a sitcom pilot commissioned for Radio Four
